Take advantage of Manali’s local cuisine, Siddu, Chana Madra, and Dham, to experience the distinct flavours of Himachal. Exploring these top picks is surely among the best things to do in Manali.

Hadimba Temple: Hadimba Devi is known to be the guardian goddess, protecting the locals of Manali. Goddess Hadimba is referred to be the divine consort of Mahabharata’s Bhima (one of the five Pandavas).

King Bahadur Singh constructed this centuries-old temple, a remarkable example of ancient architecture, adorned with detailed carvings that illustrate various mythological scenes. The temple is surrounded by majestic deodar trees, adding to the site’s natural beauty. Feel the spiritual aura of Hadimba Devi that fills the entire area.

Van Vihar: It is the famous local park in Manali, situated in the town’s centre. Hub for recreational activities and a spot for relaxation. Some of the activities include water rollers, bubble rides, trampoline jumping and a lot more.

Mall Road: Manali’s Mall Road is certainly one of the most visited places in Manali. The famous landmark is the Atal Bihari statue, the former prime minister of India. The statue is dedicated to the contributions Atal Bihari Bajpayee made to India and to expanding tourism in states like Himachal Pradesh.

Manali’s Mall Road is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, featuring a variety of cafes, restaurants, craft stores, jewellery and clothing shops. Bow down at the Durga Mata Temple before continuing your exploration of this lively area.

Solang Valley: At 8,400 feet, the Solang Valley is located. The distance from Manali to Solang Valley is roughly 15 kilometres. On your way, witness various spots where Bollywood movies have been shot. After reaching Solang Valley, you will have a mesmerising sight of the valley covered in snow. Engage in one of the thrilling adventurous activities like paragliding, skiing, zorbing, ATV rides, tube riding, yak riding and ziplining.

Atal Tunnel: One of the longest tunnels in the world is the Atal Tunnel, with a length of 9 kilometres. It started in 2020. Rohtang Pass: Rohtang Pass is situated at an elevation of 3,978 meters, approximately twice as high as that of Manali. Rohtang Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass that connects the Kullu district to the Lahaul district.

The reduced oxygen levels at Rohtang Pass can cause difficulty for some individuals. This place offers a spectacular landscape that compels you to gaze at it for hours. The snow at Rohtang Pass begins to melt by June.
