Do Dham Yatra Overview

The Do Dham Yatra is one of the holiest experiences for a devotee to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva at Kedarnath and Lord Vishnu at Badrinath. These two sacred shrines are situated in the Dev Bhoomi region of Uttarakhand, India. The Do Dham Yatra is a short alternative to the Char Dham Yatra, ideal for pilgrims with limited time and less physical stamina. This journey not only uplifts you spiritually but also offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, a sense of peace and gratitude.

It is strongly believed that undertaking the Char Dham Yatra cleanses your soul and leads you towards liberation (Moksha). It is popular for its deep spiritual significance and for connecting you with the divine instantly.

From children to the elderly, you can see devotees of every age group making their way to these sacred sites. Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. It is situated at an altitude of 11,755 feet (3,583 meters). To reach the Kedarnath Dham, you can either trek for about 22 kilometres (one way) or take a helicopter ride.

Badrinath is the next stop on your Do Dham Yatra. The Badrinath Dham is the abode of Lord Vishnu, and it is situated at an altitude of 10,279 feet (3,133 meters). Millions of pilgrims visit here and seek his blessings. You can reach Badrinath by car, and no trekking is required.
