When you get to Joshimath, meet our representative and check into the hotel. Evening is free to look around Joshimath. We ate dinner and stayed at the hotel for the night.
From Joshimath to Badrinath is a 45-km drive, and the 8-km trek for today. Altitude3640 mts . After breakfast, you'll drive to the Badrinath temple. From there, you'll go to Mana Village and trek to Jhamtoli with a lunch pack. Camps to spend the night.
Trek of 8 km, Altitude 4240 metres. We start trekking to Laxmi Van, then continue on to Sahastra Dhara. After having a lunch that we brought with us, we head toward Chakratirtha.
From Chakratirtha to Satopanth Lake is about 5 km through moraine and a seasonal glacier. You will walk close to Nilkantha and Parvati Peak, and Chaukhamba will stand out in front of you. On the right will be Balak Peak. Satopanth Lake is a three-cornered lake with icy cold, clear, emerald water. It is 4465 m above sea level and has a circumference of about 1-2 km. The whole trip is 10 km. After lunch, we walk back to Chakratirtha.
After breakfast in the morning, hike up to Chakartirtha, where there is a large formation of glaciers that continue to the Gaumukh snout of the Bhagirathi. Have dinner and spend the night at Camp.
Travel down to the village of Mana. You should see Ganesh and Vyas Gufa. Take a car to Badrinath and go to the temple there. Drive to Joshimath after lunch.
