Pack warm clothes, trekking shoes, slippers, and extra socks since temperatures can drop. Sunscreen or other skin moisturisers are recommended due to the intense sun at the peak. Bring water and energy bars. After dark, bring a flashlight with spare batteries, bug repellent, and an emergency medical kit.
The best times to do the Rupin Pass trek are in May, June, and September. During the Rupin Pass trek, it can rain or snow if the air pressure changes or the winds change.
The more you get out of the experience, the more fit you are. Spend as much time as you can on cardio and strength training, including working on your core strength. This will make it much easier for you and your guide to hike and look around the area. Also, exercises help you get used to the new environment before the trip. Walking long distances with heavy weights (at least 15 kg) on your back will help you get ready.
